WESTERLY SHOWBAND - VACANCIES:

I have decided I want to do more playing while I can. If you are interested in being a deputy conductor please get in touch.

Newcomers to Bristol and "Rusty" players welcome!

Join a GREAT band, playing GREAT music for GREAT audiences!

RELOCATING TO BRISTOL?

A high proportion of our recruits are newcomers to Bristol. If you are such a musician then give our band a try. We promise to make you welcome!

RETURNERS.

We also get enquiries from people have not played for some years. We are very experienced at helping such people to get back into playing. Sometimes we do this by directing them initially to CONCORD band Why not enquire now?CONTACTS

VACANCY LIST

Due to a recent change in policy we shall no longer (for the time being anyway) be publishing a vacancy list.

We will now give serious consideration to a player of any instrument who takes a serious interest in performing and possibly improving

We are continuing our policy of no auditions but have instead a trial period if indeterminate length while both the applicant and the band members decide what is best for all.

Please note that proficient help is always on hand for any one who needs it.

APPLY TODAY!

The band's present members are enthusiastic and reasonably proficient amateurs from a variety of musical backgrounds. They have all had lots of band experience, get on well together and like to welcome like-minded newcomers. What they have in common is an insistence that, at rehearsals, there are nice biscuits!

A SPECIAL WELCOME to players from: BRASS BANDS, ORCHESTRAS AND BIG (SWING) BANDS.

Don't forget, the time to apply is NOW!

PLEASE NOTE AGAIN that, at this early stage, you playing standard is NOT an issue. Let US judge your suitability and see if we can help you.

Please note that we will make room for any talented and enthusiastic musician, whatever the instrument.

Do you think you could fit in here?

To contact me:

Please phone me on 0117 9561950 to give me the opportunity to talk to you.

Lastly, you could call in at a rehearsal, where you would be made welcome. Bring your instrument naturally, so that I can assess how best to help you. Remember we are looking for drive and enthusiasm!
